New Mexico
May - June 2019
The Land of Enchantment really lives up to it's name. New Mexico has so much to offer than just the flat desert we assumed it was. Starting out in the charming city of Santa Fe we headed for the Santa Fe National Forest reaching altitudes of 11,000ft. The camping in this region was great. Hardly anyone around and dirt tracks for days. Explored some caves and traversed a good portion of the Continental Divide Trail as we headed south. Almost stepped on a rattlesnake outside of Pie Town, New Mexico. Ending our New Mexico portion of the trip in White Sands National Park. What a surreal place.
