I'll never forget how excited I was to be driving into Telluride for the first time. Turning onto Hwy 145 you drive up a beautiful red rock canyon full of green pine trees with a river below. The road twists and turns as you gain altitude. Then almost out of nowhere the road levels out and you're met with the amazing sight of the box canyon. The mountains tower up from the valley floor in an almost impossible way. Such incredible views from every corner of this old mining town. We were lucky enough to spend a few months taking a break from the road and finding out what the area had to offer.
